Siren's Page
Hi
there! Thanks for visiting. My name is Siren and I am a chocolate
labrador retriever. Unlike my little brother Caper,
I don't have a fancy looking pedigree. I was born on April
12, 1996 after my mom Sheba (a diminutive young black labragirl)
had an illicit rendezvous with a sweet-talking chocolate lab
from the wrong side of the tracks. Imagine her surprise when
I arrived 63 days later with eight bouncing brothers and sisters!
Life was good in the whelping box, but when I was seven weeks
old, the family who owned my momma gave us all away. Lucky
for me I came to live with a great new Mom
and Dad.
Being
the first furkid in the Griffith family, I am the resident
princess! Mom and Dad have taken me everywhere and done everything
with me since day one. I even get to sleep in their bed (though
I've claimed the WHOLE guest bedroom as my own)! My favorite
things in the world are fetching bumpers in the river and
chasing tennis balls. Mom's arm would fall off from throwing
before I get tired!
I also love to play agility
and flyball, and I began
going to trials in the fall of 1998 with my Mom and my
buddies from It's Pawsible
Dog Training. When I'm not playing sports with Mom or
snoozing on the guest bed, I'm teaching Capes some manners
and the all-important Labrador pastimes of butt-tucking, toy
stealing, and furniture hogging. Mom likes to brag
on me, so stop by often to see how we're doing on the
agility course and how life is going with my annoying
little brother!
