Awards
 On
May 3, 2000 at the Waldorf-Astoria in NYC the American Society
of Magazine Editors (ASME) honored my 1999 three-part series
for PC/Computing Magazine, "Small
Business Secret Weapons," with the Oscar of magazine
publishing -- a coveted National
Magazine Award "Ellie" in the personal service
category. My fellow nominees included Smart Money, Fast
Company, RedBook, Consumer Reports, and Esquire.
A related story appeared in the New York Times which
mentions me by name. I've reprinted
it here.
 The
"Ellie" was the second win for "Small Business
Secret Weapons." On April 14th, 2000 the Western
Publications Association awarded my series a "Maggie"
in the consumer article series category.
And still
the awards keep rolling in...

In early
June 2000, the West coast division of the American
Society of Business Publication Editors awarded the series
a Silver Award. They spelled my name wrong, but I don't hold
it against them... much.
Thanks to
all who wished me luck and sent good karma my way. These awards
are an incredible honor for any writer and I am truly blessed
to have received them.
